Baldwin posted this on his Instagram, revealing that he will be conducting an Instagram Live interview with Allen on Tuesday morning. In describing his post, the actor predicted the criticism he would face by writing, “Let me introduce this in the introduction by stating that I have NO ZERO INTEREST for anyone’s judgments and pious postings here.”
He continued, “Obviously I am someone who has their own beliefs and CANNOT BE CARED about other people’s speculations. If you think the trial should be conducted through an HBO documentary, that’s your business. ”
Baldwin’s message referred to the HBO documentary series by Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering Allen v. Farrow who is investigating a allegation of sexual abuse made against Allen in 1992 by his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow, who was seven years old when the abuse allegedly occurred.
Despite Farrow going public with her accusations against Allen in 2013 and 2014, the director will face an answer only when the #metoo movement has started. Allen has since become a kind of pariah in Hollywood, s Amazon Studios specifically cancels a $ 68 million contract for four films and his recent films have hardly received distribution.
Baldwin’s certainly controversial interview with Allen comes amid the actor’s legal problems stemming from a fatal shooting on a Western set Rust in October 2021. In that incident, camerawoman Halyna Hutchins was fatally shot and director Joel Souza was injured when live bullets were fired from a revolver used by Baldwin as props. The actor is the target of several lawsuits due to the incident.
